Kojo

Terms

The agreement for using Kojo: the chat at kojo.sh, the API at api.kojo.sh and the console at platform.kojo.sh. Kojo is made by Empero. If you sign in with an Empero account, the account's own terms apply as well; for Kojo, these terms win.

What Kojo is

Kojo is an AI assistant. It chats, searches the web, reads images and PDFs, writes code, and builds pages and files. You can use it for free on kojo.sh within an hourly allowance, with more room when you sign in, and with plans and pay-as-you-go through billing.empero.org. Through the API you can call the same assistant from your own software.

Using Kojo

Use Kojo lawfully and decently. Don't use it to harm, harass or deceive people, to break the law, to infringe other people's rights, or to make weapons or malware. Don't attack the service, work around its limits, farm accounts or keys, or resell access without our agreement. You are responsible for what you ask Kojo and for what you do with its answers. If you are under 16, use Kojo only with a parent's or guardian's permission.

Answers come from an AI

Kojo's answers are generated and can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, even when they sound sure. Kojo may search the web and read pages, and what it finds there can be wrong too. Check anything that matters before you rely on it, and don't treat Kojo's answers as medical, legal, financial or other professional advice.

What you put in and what you get out

What you write and upload stays yours. As between you and us, you may use Kojo's answers for any lawful purpose; we claim no rights in them. Answers may be similar for other people who ask similar things, and content Kojo finds on the web stays under its owner's rights. You allow us to store and process your content to run Kojo, as described on the privacy page.

Shared chats

A share link makes a snapshot of a chat readable by anyone who has the link. Share only what you are entitled to share, and don't share other people's personal data without their permission. You can remove a link at any time.

API keys

Keep your keys secret; everything done with a key counts as done by you. Keys have rate and daily limits, shown in the console. Don't use a key in a way that breaks these terms, and if you pass other people's requests on to Kojo, tell them how their requests are handled. We may revoke keys that are abused.

Plans and payment

Plans, allowances, prices, renewals and refunds are handled by billing.empero.org under its own terms; prices and allowances are shown before you pay. Usage is counted in tokens, as shown in the console and in the chat's settings.

Availability and changes

Kojo is a young product and changes often. We may change, limit or stop features, models and allowances, and may interrupt the service for maintenance; we try to say so in advance when we can. We may change these terms; the date at the top tells you when. If a change matters to you, we note it on this page before it takes effect, and using Kojo after that means you accept it.

Ending

You can stop using Kojo at any time, delete your chats, and delete your Empero account on its account page. We may suspend or end access that breaks these terms or the law, and will tell you why unless the law forbids it.

Liability and law

We provide Kojo as it is, without promises about availability or results. We are liable without limit for intent, gross negligence and injury to life, body or health. Otherwise we are liable only for breaches of obligations essential to the contract, and then only for damage that is typical and foreseeable for a service like this. German law applies; if you are a consumer, the protective rules of your country still do.
